At Indoor Air Technologies, our goal is to create indoor air comfort for your home or business.

Heating and cooling can be two of the most important concepts of a home. It is important to look at the overall picture when designing an efficient air system. The term HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. These are the three main functions of a home system. They control air temperature and humidity, and maintain a comfortable air quality in your home.

Most central heating and cooling systems are forced air systems, meaning that they send the air through a ductwork system for distribution throughout. This is called the supply air. The return air system brings the air from your home back to the heater or air conditioner to be reconditioned. This process repeats itself over & over.

Between the return & supply duct systems is a filter. We recommend ATI three stage high efficiency filters, which are specifically designed to wash the air of microscopic organisms and enhance dust elimination. Because forced hot air is dry by nature, we always recommend an Aprilaire whole house humidifier for your health and comfort.

The primary function of the air conditioning system is dehumidification, not cooling. This is achieved by removing the warm air from your house through the return air duct system. Your system then proceeds to direct the warm air over an evaporator coil, which is the inside portion of your central air conditioning system. The coil is located on top of your furnace and is generally twenty degrees cooler then the warm air in your house. When the household air passes over the coil the difference in temperature causes condensation, which results in the removal of the humidity from your home.

The more areas of your home that we can extract warm air from, the better chance we have of cooling and balancing it.

Therefore, we design a duct system with multiple returns in the house, which enables us to balance temperatures and maintain better control throughout the house. This results in better dehumidification, more comfort, and a more efficiently operated system.

Should You Repair or Replace?

Ask our team of professionals to provide a diagnostic check-up to see if you're operating an efficient system or one that breaks down frequently, and therefore requiring emergency service calls and possible damage to the other components of your system. Many times we discover repair problems that are costing clients money for gas and electric bills because a system is not working to its full capacity.

Things we check for include:
How to make you house more comfortable, and lower your bills.
How to reduce allergy suffering from particles that flow through air.
How to keep dust and pollen out of air ducts.

We have the technology through the use of high efficiency filtration to reduce the amount of indoor air pollution that may infiltrate your home or business. (View indoor air pollution statistics). Air flow characteristics show that air follows the path of least resistance. We design our systems to incorporate balancing dampers which give us the ability to deflect air flow to individual areas as required to establish a balance temperature in your home. This eliminates hot and cold spots. We use the finest external duct wrap procedure that works in conjunction with the unit and gains the most effective results for energy costs and breathing quality indoor air. All duct work installed in attics or crawl spaces must be insulated . This prevents inefficiency during operation in both heating and air conditioning seasons. We use R6 duct wrap and flex duct to insure optimum efficiency.

Each installation is designed specifically for your home and includes:
  • Custom Duct Work: All duct systems are custom designed & fabricated.

  • Electronic Zoning: Provides equal temperatures throughout your home.

  • Temperature Control: Electronic thermostat with energy-saving functions.

  • High Efficiency Systems: Saving you money each month plus possible rebate from utility company.

  • State-of-The-Art Equipment: Indoor Air Technologies offers Trane equipment, an industry leader in quality and performance.
Indoor Air Technologies takes pride in providing our clients with meticulous workmanship on each and every installation.
